Summer Day Camp

The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta offers day camp programs across the CSRA at nine locations. Camp runs May through August, depending on the school calendar.

Our summer camps offer unforgettable experiences for your child. From arts and crafts, to swimming, to sports, there is something fun for all. Through our camps we offer a Summer Enrichment Program which focuses on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities for campers. Your child will have a memorable summer and make lifelong friendships at The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta!

Important information:

  • Full payments must be made the Monday prior to the week camp starts.
  • Photo IDs are required everyday at pickup.
  • Financial Assistance is available for those in need. Financial Assistance Application
  • Sibling discounts are available.
  • Weekly deposit is required and is non-refundable.
  • 2 week written notice for cancellations are required.

Campers will enjoy daily swimming, arts and crafts, games, sports, and character development activities. Camp activities will run from 9am – 4pm.  Early drop off at 7:00 am and late pickup by 6:00 pm are available at no additional cost.

Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided. Campers are allowed to bring their own sack lunch and snack. Please no food that requires refrigeration or heating.  Campers will need to wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. Campers will need to bring a bookbag with a towel, swimsuit, spray on sunscreen, pool shoes, and a change of clothes. Please label all items with your child’s name.

Camp will be held at: Aiken County Family YMCA – 621 Trolley Line Road – Graniteville SC 29801 with drop off (7-9am) and pickup (4-6pm) at the rear of the building. Photo IDs are required everyday at pickup.

** $10 Non- refundable deposit must be paid for every week of camp per camper. The deposit will be credited towards that week’s fees once the child has attended.
** Cancellations must be made in writing 14 days (about 2 weeks) prior to the camp start date. Camp Fees will be drafted for any cancellations after the camp start date.
** Non- attendance does not entitle a refund

 

Extended Summer Camp Weeks: These 2 weeks are for students who do not attend Aiken County Public School District. A 50% deposit is due at registration.

Aiken Leadership In Training

Over the course of 7 weeks, the L.I.T.s will participate in various activities focused on adventure, leadership, and giving back to the community. L.I.T.s will spend time outdoors servicing our community through a variety of projects as well as assisting with YMCA Summer Camp.  By the end of the program, your teen will learn to embody the four core values of the YMCA: Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.

Participants must complete and submit an application (this can be found at our front desk), as well as a phone interview. Applications will be reviewed and approved by the Camp Director.

Get ready for an unforgettable summer at our newly revamped Adventure Camp, where the theme changes each week to focus on exciting new specialties. There’s something for everyone, so let your camper find their passion and explore it in a fun and supportive environment!

Activities & What to Bring:
Campers can enjoy a variety of activities tailored to their interests. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided, though campers are welcome to bring their own sack lunch and snack (please, no items requiring refrigeration or heating).

To ensure a great experience, campers should bring the following:

  • Weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toed athletic shoes.
  • A labeled bookbag containing:
    • Towel
    • Spray-on sunscreen
    • Water shoes
    • Water bottle
    • Change of clothes

  • Location: Augusta South YMCA, 2215 Tobacco Rd, Augusta, GA 30906
  • Camp Activity Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Drop-off: Starting at 7:00 AM (all campers must be dropped off by 9:00am OR provide a doctors note and notify the camp director for prior approval)
    • Pick-up: Until 6:00 PM (late fees are $1.oo per minute after 6:00pm)

Augusta South Leaders In Training (L.I.T.)

Over the course of 10 weeks, the L.I.T.s (Leaders in Training) will engage in a variety of activities centered around adventure, leadership, and community service. L.I.T.s will have the opportunity to spend time outdoors, working on meaningful community projects and assisting with YMCA Summer Camp programs.

By the end of the program, participants will gain valuable skills while learning to embody the YMCA’s four core values: Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.

To participate, teens must complete and submit an application, available at our front desk, and complete a phone interview with the youth program coordinator. All applications will be reviewed and approved by the Camp Director.

Discover Your Passion at Augusta South YMCA’s Adventure Camp!

Get ready for an unforgettable summer at our newly revamped Adventure Camp, where the theme changes each week to focus on exciting new specialties. There’s something for everyone, so let your camper find their passion and explore it in a fun and supportive environment!

Activities & What to Bring:
Campers can enjoy a variety of activities tailored to their interests. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided, though campers are welcome to bring their own sack lunch and snack (please, no items requiring refrigeration or heating).

To ensure a great experience, campers should bring the following:

  • Weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes.
  • A labeled bookbag containing:
    • Towel
    • Spray-on sunscreen
    • Water shoes
    • Water bottle
    • Change of clothes

Camp Details:

  • Location: Dorothy Hains Elementary School 1820 Windsor Spring Rd.
  • Camp Activity Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Drop-off: Starting at 7:00 AM (all campers must be dropped off by 9:00am OR provide a doctors note and notify the camp director for prior approval)
    • Pick-up: Until 6:00 PM (late fees are $1.oo per minute after 6:00pm)
  • Camp Communication: Please contact the Augusta South Y for information regarding this camp.

Registration & Fees:

  • A $10 deposit per week (non-refundable) is required at registration.
  • Remaining balances will be automatically deducted two days before the camp session starts.
  • Financial assistance is available! Visit us in person to complete the necessary forms. Online registration is still available for camp enrollment.

The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta offers day camp programs across the CSRA at nine locations. Camp runs May through August, depending on the school calendar.

Our summer camps offer unforgettable experiences for your child. From arts and crafts, to swimming, to sports, there is something fun for all. Through our camps we offer a Summer Enrichment Program which focuses on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities for campers. Your child will have a memorable summer and make lifelong friendships at The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta!

Camp drop off will be 7am to 9am.

DROP OFF AFTER 9AM IS ONLY ALLOWED WITH A DOCTOR’S NOTE.

We understand mornings can be hectic, though our cut off time is to ensure that we have the appropriate number of staff to campers. Pick up will be between the hours of 4pm to 6pm. You may arrange an early pick-up in advance with camp staff.

Lunch and a snack are provided. Campers are allowed to bring their own sack lunch and snack. Please no food that requires refrigeration or heating.

Campers will need to wear weather appropriate clothing and closed toed athletic shoes. Campers will need to bring a bookbag with a towel, swimsuit, spray on sunscreen, water shoes, water bottle and a change of clothes. Please label all items with your child’s name.

** There is a $10 non-refundable deposit that must be paid during signup for every week of camp per camper. The deposit will be credited towards the week’s fee.

Photo IDs are required everyday at pickup.

If you want to apply for financial assistance you will need to come in and complete the forms. You can still register online for camp.

The balance of camp will automatically be deducted 4 days before camp session starts. All payment is due no later than noon on Friday.

** Cancellations must be made in writing 7 days prior to the start date of camp.

Enjoy a week of Day Camp outdoor adventures! Includes swimming, archery, kayaking, zipline, climbing wall, low ropes course, water games, Noah’s Ark Treehouse, and character building (respect, responsibility, honesty, caring, and faith).

Camp drop off and pick-up will be available at the Wilson Family YMCA and at Camp Lakeside. You will be able to choose your drop-off/pick-up location during registration.

DROP OFF
For the safety of staff and campers, campers may not be dropped off at the Family YMCA earlier than 7:00AM. Campers can be dropped off at Wilson Family YMCA 7:00AM to 8:00AM or Camp Lakeside from 7:00AM -9:00AM. Campers must be picked up at the same location that they were dropped off at, unless notification is given to Julie Prescott/Program Director via email [email protected] or text at (706) 836-9639. Campers being dropped off at the Wilson Y will ride the Y bus to Camp Lakeside. The bus will leave promptly at 8:10 AM.

PICK -UP
• Pick up is from 4:00– 6:00 PM at Camp Lakeside or Wilson Family YMCA
• A picture I.D. is required to pick up your camper!
• You must sign your child in/out with their counselor each day.
• Only authorized people listed on the Health History form will be allowed to pick up your child.
• Campers must be picked up by 6 PM in order to avoid a late fee.

DAY CAMP AT THE NORTH AUGUSTA FAMILY Y!! Our Family Y works year round to be able to provide the best camp experience for all of our camper. Camp is what we do! At the Y we believe that one of the most memorable parts of camp is the friendships campers make at camp.

Ages: 5 to 12 years old

Camp activities will take place 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Early drop off at 7:00 am and late pick up at 6:00 pm are available at no additional cost. DROP OFF AFTER 9AM IS ONLY ALLOWED WITH A DOCTORS NOTE. Breakfast will be at 9am, Lunch will be at 11am to 12pm, and Snack at 3pm.

Campers are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle, spray on sunscreen, and wear closed toe shoes.

We offer one traditional camp (ages 5 – 12), with the option of registering for one of our two specialty camps.

Camp Hours: 7:00 Am – 6:00 Pm

Swim Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Aqua Fun – (Ages 7-12) campers will have fun in and out of the water park and use their imaginations to create water projects of their own! They will also participate in water safety class and discuss ways to improve their swimming techniques. They will meet with their groups and swim or have scheduled water activities. This camp will be held from June 3rd – 19th. All camps will be held at Monte Sano Elementary

The Leaders in Training (L.I.T) program allows youth, ages 13 – 15, to develop into role models and leaders. Campers will attend a 10-week program that will train them to create and plan programs and also develop leadership skills and character development.
