This is a skills and drills program. The players will learn the basics of basketball and classes will only be held on Saturdays at the session time that you register for.

Our Itty Bitty Basketball League is the perfect introduction to the game for our youngest players! Designed for ages 3–4, this fun and supportive program focuses on developing basic basketball skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting in a playful, team-oriented environment. Coaches emphasize learning through movement, cooperation, and encouragement — no scores, just smiles!

The season runs January 24 – February 28, with all sessions held Saturdays in the Youth Gym at the Wilson Family YMCA. Practice times will be assigned closer to the season start.

This skills and drills program is for ages 3-4 and is designed to teach your littles the basics of basketball!

Sessions will take place at the Steiner Y in Group Ex Room 1 tentatively Friday’s 11:15 am-noon.

Iddy Biddy runs through January 2026-February 2026.

Play and learn hours will be open during practice for your convenience.

Our U7 Basketball League builds on the fundamentals learned in Itty Bitty, helping players continue to grow their skills and love for the game! Designed for ages 5–6, this league introduces team play in a fun, supportive environment that focuses on learning the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense.

The season begins with practices the week of January 5, and games start the week of January 19. Teams will practice once per week at a time set by their coach, and games will be held on Saturday mornings. The season runs through February 28 at the Wilson Family YMCA.

Games

The U9 Basketball League takes the next step in player development by introducing more structured team play, skill refinement, and game strategy. Designed for ages 7–8, this league encourages teamwork, communication, and confidence on the court while continuing to build strong fundamentals.

This season, we’re introducing a new draft system to help create balanced teams and an enjoyable experience for all players. Coaches may pre-select up to six players based on requests and will complete their roster through the draft process.

Players not selected from the request pool will be invited to attend an Observation Day on Monday, December 8 at 6:00 PM, where athletes will run through stations and short scrimmages while coaches take notes for the draft. Players who are selected ahead of time will be notified and are not required to attend the observation.

The season begins with practices the week of January 5 and games starting the week of January 19. Season details, including specific practice times and game schedules, will be shared following the draft. All practices and games take place at the Wilson Family YMCA.

U10 (ages 7-9)
