Youth Soccer
The YMCA Youth Soccer Program is designed to introduce children to the game of soccer in a positive, supportive, and fun environment. Our goal is to help young athletes build confidence, learn fundamental skills, and develop a love for physical activity while practicing teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect.
Our age-appropriate format allows players of all experience levels to grow at their own pace through skill-building activities, drills, and gameplay. With an emphasis on encouragement and fair play, every participant is given the opportunity to succeed, stay active, and enjoy being part of a team.
Family involvement is a valued part of our program, and our volunteer coaches and staff work together to create a safe, uplifting experience that supports both athletic and personal development throughout the season.
Steiner U5 (Ages 3-5) Soccer School
Steiner YMCA Soccer School
Join us for the YMCA U5 (Ages 3-5) Soccer School, a fun and engaging program designed to introduce young children to the basics of soccer! This non-competitive league focuses on developing key skills like dribbling, passing, leading up to gametime and having a great time on the field with friends.
Fall Season Dates:
- Friday, September 4 – Friday, October 9
- All practices are on Fridays at 5pm-5:45pm
Registration Details:
- Member-Only Registration: July 7 – July 24
- Open Registration: July 25 – August 14
- Late Registration (additional fee): August 15 – End of Season
Program Details:
- Players may not be dropped off or left unattended during practice.
- This league uses a size 3 soccer ball for all activities.
- Children should wear tennis shoes, No Cleats Allowed.
- The primary goal is to help players learn the fundamentals of the game in a fun, non-competitive environment.
- Practices will be held at 5pm-5:45pm at the Steiner Branch Family Y in Group Ex Room 1
- There will be no games.
