At the YMCA Child Development Academy, we are committed to creating a warm, loving, and stimulating environment where every child feels welcome. Our facility is licensed by the State of Georgia and Bright from the Start, and we proudly maintain the high standards set by the YMCA. We are a 2-star Quality Rated center, demonstrating our dedication to excellence in early childhood education.
Our nurturing and qualified staff offer a faith-based curriculum that supports early learning and development. We believe that children thrive through real-life experiences—daily play, meaningful conversations, and positive interactions with both peers and adults. Our goal is to help each child build independence, responsibility, and strong social skills essential for lifelong success.

Piedmont Employee Drop-In Care
Welcome to The Child Development Academy! We’re so glad you’ve chosen us to support your family with flexible, high-quality drop-in care. Whether you’re with us for just a few hours or several days a week, your child’s well-being, growth, and happiness are our top priorities.
Here’s what to expect:

Safe & Nurturing Environment: Our experienced staff provides age-appropriate activities that promote learning and fun.

Flexible Scheduling: Use drop-in care as needed — just let us know 24 hours in advance when possible.

What to Bring: Please send your child with a labeled bag including extra clothes, diapers (if applicable) and any comfort items.

Check-In Process: You’ll sign in at the front desk upon arrival. First-time visits may take a few extra minutes to complete paperwork.

Communication: We’ll keep you updated through Brightwheel app with notes about your child’s day.
If you have any questions or special instructions for your child, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help make this a positive experience for both you and your child.
