Adapted Aquatic Programs
We put the “able” in disabled at the YMCA. We offer different adapted aquatics programs specifically for participants affected by physical, cognitive or behavioral disabilities.
Adapted Open Rehab
Times specifically scheduled for Adapted Aquatic Evaluated clients to do their own exercises for rehabilitation. Available only to Y members and Silver Sneakers members for free.
Monday – Saturday 7am-8am and 1pm -2pm
Monday -Friday 6pm-7pm
Call for Changes in times for Holidays.

Adapted Special Populations
Individual 1/2 hour (1-1), 30 minute lessons with specially trained aquatics staff. For persons, any age, with a physical, cognitive or behavioral disability. By appointment only.

Adapted Swim Team
Swim team for all ages of physically, cognitively or developmentally challenged swimmers to train for competition and fitness. Must be able to swim freestyle and backstroke for 200 yards each. Contact Claudia Collins for further information 706-922-9664.

Katie Pool Parties
Katie’s Pool and lobby area used for Parties for Adapted Program participants. Parties require booking a date and a deposit. One lifeguard and one instructor will be provided to supervise the party.

Yearly Registration/Evaluation
Yearly Registration/Evaluation is required for all Adapted Programs. The 30-minute evaluation, includes medical history with a water or land assessment. **All Evaluations are by Appointment Only**
